1. Who we are

This website (slushiguide.com, "Will It Slush?", "we", "us") is operated by:

We are the data controller for the personal data processed through this site, in the sense of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Spanish LOPDGDD 3/2018.

2. What data we process and why

We try to collect as little as possible. In practice:

  • Usage analytics (Google Analytics 4 — measurement ID G-PP0X9E3V0T). Pages visited, approximate location (country/city), device, browser, referrer. Used to understand which content is useful. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR); consent where required by local cookie law.
  • Advertising (Google AdSense). Google may set cookies/identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where you have consented through Google's controls. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) for personalized ads; legitimate interest for non-personalized ads and fraud prevention.
  • AI assistant messages. What you type in the chat is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini, via the Lovable AI Gateway) only to generate the answer. The conversation history is stored only in your browser's local storage; we do not keep a server-side copy. Providers state messages are not used to train models.
  • Server logs. Standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) kept by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention, typically up to 30 days.

We do not sell personal data, we do not run an account system, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.

3. Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are used to keep the site working (e.g. remembering your chosen units and slush machine model in local storage). Analytics and advertising cookies are set by Google as described above. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.

4. Third parties (sub-processors)

  • Google Ireland Ltd. — Analytics, AdSense.
  • Google LLC — Gemini AI inference, via the Lovable AI Gateway.
  • Lovable / Supabase — hosting, edge functions, recipe database.
  • Amazon — affiliate link tracking for outbound product links.

Some of these providers process data outside the EEA. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

5. Affiliate links

Some outbound links (notably to Amazon) are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change which recipe or recommendation appears first — those are editorial.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@mlcconsulting.es and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es).

7. Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google's defaults (currently 14 months for event-level data). Chat history lives only in your browser until you clear it. Server logs are rotated within 30 days.

8. Children

This site contains content about alcoholic beverages and is intended for users of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction (21+ in the United States, 18+ in Spain and most of the EU). It is not directed at children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. See also our Terms of Service and Contact page.
