Wild Turkey American Honey Slush
Bourbon-honey liqueur, peach, lemon — golden hour in a glass.
American Honey is sweeter and richer than Jack Honey — it pairs beautifully with stone fruit. This slush leans into ripe peach and a squeeze of lemon to keep it from going syrupy.

Notes from our testing
At 35.5% ABV with heavy sweetening, this is the closest thing to a self-balancing whiskey slush.
American Honey is sweeter than Jack Honey and slightly lower proof at 35.5%, which makes it unusually well suited to the machine. Mixed with lemonade at four ounces per batch it lands near 10% ABV and around 12 Brix with essentially no added syrup, which is rare for anything whiskey-based.
That built-in sugar is also the trap. Because it tastes sweet in the bottle people treat it as a spirit and add syrup on top, and a batch at 15 Brix simply will not firm up. If your American Honey slush is coming out wet and refusing to hold a swirl, the sugar is almost always the cause, not the alcohol.
It pairs better with tart mixers than sweet ones for the same reason. Lemonade, fresh lemon, or an unsweetened iced tea all give the honey something to push against; adding it to cola or a fruit punch stacks sugar on sugar.
Serve it with a lemon wheel rather than an orange one. The honey and vanilla notes are already round, and citrus oil at the nose is what stops the drink reading as one-dimensional once it is cold.
